Brother Difference between TZ and TZe tape

The TZe tapes are more environmental friendly; plastic weight reduced by 15%, contains 5% recycled plastic, smaller packaging, and energy efficient film ribbon.

TZe tapes can be used in place of TZ tapes.  Some newer P-touch models have been designed to use only the TZe tapes (a “TZe” symbol on P-touch machine cover) and in those models, TZ tapes cannot be used in place of TZe tapes.
