CW-75 FAQ
Q1 |
What difference does the CW-50/CW-75 Disc
Title Printer have compared with other printers on the
market? |
A1. |
Many CD-R label printers on the market
today print paper labels that are affixed to the disc.
This can cause the disc to go off center, which can make
high-speed disc operations impossible and can cause read
errors.
In addition, paper labels tend to peel, which can cause
damage to a CD drive or CD player mechanism.
The CW-50/CW-75 Disc Title Printer, on the other hand,
prints directly onto the disc, which eliminates the paper
label problems described above.
Other printers on the market print directly onto the disc
using an ink jet printing system.
Such printing takes time to dry and can run if the disc ever
becomes wet.
Printing produced by the CW-50/CW-75 Disc Title Printer is
dry as soon as printing is complete, so printed characters
do not smear or run. In addition to all of this, the
CW-50/CW-75 provides quick and simple printing, without the
need to create complex data. |
Q2 |
Do I need to input track names
manually? |
A2 |
You can download track names and other
information directly from a CD that has CD-Text data
recorded on it. The CD drive you are using must support
reading of CD-Text in order to import CD-Text data.
- You can use Microsoft Windows Media Player to download
track name data over the Internet and then use the
software that comes bundled with the CW-50/CW-75 to import
the data from the play list.
- You can also use copy and paste to obtain data from
the website of a record company and input it into labels.
|
Q3 |
Is printing possible on any type of
CD-R disc? |
A3 |
Some CD-R discs are more suitable for
printing than others. It all depends on the printing
surface. |
Q4 |
Is it possible to print on the entire
surface of a CD-R disc? |
A4 |
The CW-50/CW-75 supports printing in two
areas, and upper area and a lower area, each of which
measures 16mm high and 74mm wide. |
Q5 |
Does the CW-50/CW-75 support color
printing? |
A5 |
CW-50/CW-75 ink ribbons are available in
a choice of five colors: black, silver, red, blue, and
green. Printing is limited to one color per print operation. |
Q6 |
Is it possible to print anything else
besides track names? |
A6 |
You can also print images.
You can import images captured on your computer screen, or
images (bmp, jpeg) you created with other applications. |
Q7 |
Is it possible to erase something that
has already been printed on a disc? |
A7 |
No. Because of this, you should be sure to use the preview
image to check the appearance of each label before actually
printing it. |
Q8 |
Can printing be performed using a Macintosh? |
A8 |
The bundled software provided by CASIO
does not support printing with a Macintosh. |
